Worldwide Day of Prayer: A Testimony and Invitation

by Becky Kicklighter

I’ll admit I was nervous when I signed up to pray last April. Being my first experience with the Worldwide Day of Prayer, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I signed up to pray during the hour assigned to the ministry in Brisbane, Australia, because of the years I spent serving “down under” with Campus Outreach and was delighted to log in and see University of Queensland alumni, people who had gone on CCPs to Brisbane, financial partners, and members of multiple supporting churches!

After a brief update from the staff, we prayed for the rest of the hour. Throughout this year, I have rejoiced to hear that ten students have committed to following Jesus at the University of Queensland! We asked the Lord for that, and He answered our prayers!

On Tuesday, April 2nd, YOU can participate in the 3rd annual Worldwide Day of Prayer! The global Campus Outreach community will gather via Zoom to “pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”

I’ll be logging in to pray for Capetown and Charlotte, or you could join me later in the day and pray with COB and Brisbane! You should go and sign up for whatever hour works best for you! Invite friends to join, too — investing an hour can change the world!
