Repent and Call on Me
Hannah & Sydney are both freshmen in the Philippines who started following Christ this semester! They are eager to grow in their faith and tell others about it. Here are some things they said when asked about their decision to follow Christ:
“Before, it was always ‘my plans, my future,’ but now I entrust and surrender everything to Him. I did not know what would qualify me to enter His Kingdom; if I had to do XYZ in order to receive eternal life. But now I accept His grace through faith in what Jesus has done for me. I want to seek and live according to His will. I was unsure before, pero ngayon buo na ang loob ko (Translation: but now my heart is whole). No more doubts. I fully trust Him, and I want to serve Him.” - Sydney
“Before, I was afraid to fail and disappoint others. But I have seen a big difference when I don’t have God in my life. I 100% trust him now, not 99.9% anymore. I really want to surrender my life to Him. He’s been waiting for me to come to Him, like He’s saying, ‘Anak, lumapit ka, need mo Ako (Translation: Child, come, you need Me). Repent and call on Me.’ I’ll go with Him. I’ll trust Him forever. Nothing can separate us because of Jesus.” - Hannah
Sydney recently had the chance to share her testimony at our CO weekly event on campus, and Hannah is also excited to tell her friends who aren't Christians about her decision to follow Jesus. Join us in praising God for the work He's doing in their lives, and pray that they will continue to hunger for God and build a strong foundation in their faith.
