We had over 600 people join us in Campus Outreach’s 24 hour worldwide prayer chain! It is clear that God was glorified by so many people from so many places taking time to join together and lift up the nations! We trust He will continue to do a mighty work in and through our ministry from years to come. Here are a couple of the best quotes from the day of global prayer!

  • “One supporter in her 80s said she had been praying for CO “since Frank Barker started the ministry”.  Amazing!  Honor to pray with her!”

  • “God is sovereign over this Pandemic and can still work in spite of the many obstacles. But the gospel cannot be stopped. When God has called you He will draw you to Himself even in the midst of isolation or lockdown”

  • “Even though we are more isolated than ever we are more unified than ever as well! It’s like you are in my room with me right now praying.”

Monday - St. Louis

  1. Pray that this COVID season would be a a season for greater trust and dependency in the Lord

  2. Pray that we don’t miss opportunities- both spiritual and practical- to show the love of Christ to our neighbors

  3. Pray that this is a season of refreshment for our staff and students.

Tuesday - London, England

  1. Pray for us as our team is currently being formed and we are interviewing candidates.

  2. Pray for the London church partnership as we continue to develop that relationship.

  3. With all the uncertainties right now, please pray for the timing of our departure.  We desire to be there before the beginning of this next school year. Pray that we would trust God’s will and believe that His timing is best.

  4. Pray that God would be preparing hearts in London now to hear the gospel.

Wednesday - Central Illinois

  1. Pray for the launch of the new Western Michigan region.

  2. Pray for the region’s continued partnership with the church in Guadalajara, Mexico and the pastor’s support raising efforts there.

  3. Pray for students who are home with non-Christian family members, that they would stand firm in truth and be a light in the darkness.

Thursday - Manchester, England

  1. Pray for our family (Junia, Enzo and I) as we continue to learn how to adapt and enjoy this season - the lockdown in the UK has been extended for another 3 weeks at least.

  2. Pray for our church as we have seen high numbers of social media engagement, including with our Sunday services - and a lot of these people are coming in contact with City Church for the first time and some even with church at all!

Friday - “24 on 24” Worldwide Prayer Chain

Joshua 21:45 - “Not one word of all the good promises that the Lord had made to the house of Israel had failed; all came to pass.” Pray that the Lord will remember His promises and we will trust wholly in them

Eph 4:11-16 - God would be bringing each of us to maturity and developing His Church through this season.

2 Thessalonians 3:1 - “Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may speed ahead and be honored, as happened among you,” Pray that the work God has already done in and through CO would continue to move in a mighty way

Matthew 9:37-38 “Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; 38 therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” Pray that the Lord would send out laborers into the harvest- and that even some of those laborers would come from this Zoom call!

Col. 1:28-29 - because of how great Christ is, we would be proclaiming Him in every way possible with all His strength He gives us.
