Monday - Charlotte
Wisdom for our Leadership Team as we navigate this unique season. Pray for wisdom as we discern the Lord's plans for us and our summer projects in the upcoming months.
Gospel Ministry to continue to happen. We want to pray for students to be growing in godliness, holiness and righteousness during this time. We want to pray for students to grow in their hunger for God's Word and prayer. We want to pray for students to come to faith in Jesus Christ.
Protection for our staff and students. Many live in areas where the spread of the virus is rising exponentially. Pray for Psalm 5:11, "But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them ever sing for joy, and spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may exult in you."
Tuesday - Brisbane, Australia
That our staff team would have wisdom in our response and be characterised by prayerfulness and God-given peace
That our movement, our community of staff and students, would be characterised by God-give joy in the midst of uncertainty, continuing to love and encourage one another
That God would be pleased to do His transformative work in us (sanctifying us to make us more like Him) and through us (that the Gospel would continue to go out and bear fruit)
Wednesday - Birmingham
Pray for the leadership of the region to make decisions about summer plans like CCP and Summer Project from a spirit of wisdom.
Pray for campus teams to be innovative and connect deeply with students even though evangelism and discipleship look a little unconventional right now.
Thursday - Chiang Mai, Thailand
For Thais in Chiang Mai particularly to hear the gospel and be drawn to Christ.
For our Staff and Thai Christians to be salt and light in the midst of this crisis - Pray we'd have specific ways we can minister to those in need.
For God to protect all of our COT families - Whether indigneous staff (most of their parents live somewhere else) and our Expat staff, whose families live apart from them either in England, Australia, New Zealand and the USA.
Friday - Dallas/Fort Worth
That our 11 staff who minister at the University of North Texas and the University of Texas at Dallas would be strengthened and encouraged during this unique season to continue to be full of vision and persevere in building leaders and laborers. Also, pray for our 2 staff are who are currently raising support - that God would continue to provide and get them 100% funded.
For the 100+ students who are currently involved in some type of discipleship or growth group. Pray that they would continue to walk with God and bear good fruit as they are scattered across the DFW Metroplex and beyond (Colossians 1:9-12). Pray that our staff team would maximize the use of virtual technology to continue to pour into these men and women.
Pray that this summer would be a tremendous summer of growth. Pray for wisdom for the summer project and that students would be hungry for the Lord. We are coming to the close of year 2 of our 5 year plan. God has given us alot of momentum. Please pray that momentum continues and grows through this unique circumstance.
Saturday - Belo Horizonte, Brazil
For safety and protection for Brazil's population and especially those in vulnerable situations. Local authorities are predicting a collapse in the health care system in April, when there will be more infected people than hospitals can take in. Pray that through social distancing the epidemic curve will be flattened and contamination will spread over a longer period of time.
For our staff team to hold on to the bigger vision, for faith and dependency on God as we face times of uncertainty. Pray that we would be salt and light in this dark hour. Pray also for our families and dear ones.
For our online efforts to continue to do evangelism, discipleship and shepherding of our students, our church family and one another. Pray that through so much need in Brazil, God will increase and expand a gospel movement that will speak truth and bring hope to the lost.
Sunday - Indianapolis
