Snapshot: New Zealand’s Vision Building Lake Project

Jason, David, Krainer

In light of Jesus’ command to “Go,” expansion is a pillar of Campus Outreach’s culture. David Richards, on staff in New Zealand, went to Fiji in 2023 for an Island-to-Island Partnership Forum on gospel revitalization in the Pacific Islands and came home excited about possibilities for university ministry in Vanuatu, Samoa, Fiji, and beyond. He asked for prayer concerning tangible steps as people gathered for the 2023 Worldwide Day of Prayer.

The CO New Zealand/Engage Summer Lake Project recently ended, and a highlight was the addition of two Fijian students. David writes, “They had a fruitful time of observing, participating, and evaluating the summer project as they pondered what it might mean to run an extended project in Fiji for Pacific Islander students.  It was particularly encouraging to see them wrestle to discern what a ministry principle is and what a ministry application is. The same ministry principle can be fleshed out very differently in a different context, and it is part of the thinking they will need to do as they seek to engage in university ministry in Fiji.”

Praise the Lord for the direct answer to prayers prayed in faith so long before. Join us for the Worldwide Day of Prayer this April 2, and let’s see what God will do!!   Click this link to save your spot!
